In this episode, I break down the guitar work behind “Alive” — the Poker Stars single, released on May 13th. Built around low-tuned heavy riffs, driving rhythms and dynamic lead guitar work, “Alive” combines raw energy with expressive playing and technical details that give the song its unique character. From the crushing main riff and rhythmic verse parts to the wide chorus guitars and melodic solo sections, the arrangement constantly builds momentum and intensity.

Poker Stars have released their fourth official music video "Love's A Bitch". Once again, it comes from the tried-and-tested video studio "Fancy Fränk Productions". Accompanying it is the corresponding guitar breakdown from the "Licks & Tricks" series (episode 5). Also included here - as a follow-up - is episode 4, featuring the song "Pain."
